Episode 9/11 of our walk through "Human Rights and the Rule of Law in Haiti: Key Recent Developments, March through September 2026", by IJDH and BAI. Only about one in ten health facilities with beds is fully working, both public psychiatric hospitals have been dysfunctional since 2024, and cholera, brought by UN peacekeepers in 2010, is still here. Meanwhile 1,700 schools are closed and 500 destroyed, and Haiti's children have not had a single uninterrupted school year in eight years.
